Hi there! I’m Shawn and I reside in the safe but uneventful former “Honeymoon Capital of the World”, Niagara Falls, New York. I’ve been shooting as Shawn Wright Photography since 2010, but I’ve been into photography since my mid-teens. Most of my experience is in event and architecture photography, but I began branching out into model and fashion photography in 2011.
Concert-wise, I’ve shot musical artists such as The Cure, The Cult, The Dresden Dolls, Emilie Autumn, School of Seven Bells, and more, including many local bands in the Buffalo, NY area. Event-wise, I’ve shot dance parties in Buffalo, NY, bonfire parties and a steampunk event in Amherst, NY, an Occupy Buffalo general assembly, a quinceañera, and more.
On the model/fashion end of things, I’ve shot with various models in the Buffalo and Rochester areas, and three fashion shows in Buffalo, NY between July 2012 and October 2013. They were, in order, Fashion of Interaction at Hi-Temp Fabrication, “First Class” Premier Fashion Show at Perfetto, and most recently, NRO Entertainment’s SKIN Body Paint Fashion Show at Lux.
I’d also like to note that I’ve been a member of the National Press Photographers Association since August 2012.
